Dr. Zamora is an assistant professor in the Clinical Psychology PsyD Doctoral Program at Mount Saint Mary’s University, Los Angeles. He is also Director of Clinial Training, and Coordinator of the Diverse Population Emphasis Track. He is also a licensed clinical psychologist in the state of California. The scientist-practitioner model has been a vital aspect of his professional identity as a counseling psychologist. He is interested in how cultural factors affect experiences, relationships, success, and well-being. A core line of research for him is understanding the romantic relationship experiences of LGBTQ+ individuals. In addition, he is also highly interested in further understanding the lived experiences of college students who come from underrepresented backgrounds including but not limited to: first generation college students, students of color, low SES, and students who have been marginalized due to their social identities. Furthermore, he is also interested in understanding the intersectionality of multiple identities and how this impacts well-being and academic success. Lastly, his extensive training in the scientist-practitioner model also informs his efforts to mentor and supervise counseling trainees in conducting research in training and counselor development.

I'm George Santos-Garcia, a third-year Mount Saint Mary's University, Los Angeles student in the PsyD in Clinical Psychology Latinx Mental Health Emphasis. My primary research focus is on the experience of queer Latinx folx post-suicide attempts; as a suicide attempt survivor myself, this is a work that I am incredibly passionate about.  My clinical interest lies in working with and supporting children and adolescents who have experienced trauma, especially when they come from communities that have often been left out of the therapy room. I love working with parent-child dyads to help heal trauma and strengthen their relationships, and I hope to work with youth who deal with severe depression and chronic suicidality. Outside of school, I love spending time with my husband and four kids, watching Drag Race, and taking trips somewhere new whenever the opportunity arises.

I’m dom. I’m in my fourth year at MSMU LA’s PsyD program in the Latinx mental health emphasis. My research interests lie in intersectional psychology concerning mental health access for neurodiverse and LGBTQ people of historically marginalized communities, perceptions of gender among neurodiverse and Latinx populations, assessment bias and its effects on adolescents and adults with intersectional historically marginalized identities, and the impact of complex trauma on cognitive processes and development. I aim to work with LGBTQ+ populations and do gender-affirming work. I am interested in identity formation in adolescence and emerging adulthood, along with therapeutic psychological assessment and complex trauma.

My personal interests are in the fiber arts, specifically knitting, crocheting, sewing, and embroidery. I also enjoy anything spooky, exploring new places, and spending time with nature, coffee, crosswords & other puzzles.

I'm a second year PsyD student studying Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Diverse Populations at MSMU LA. My research interests lie in arts-based research, resilience, relationships, and Asian American Psychology. I love exploring how support systems can strengthen the resilience of people and communities of color and how various forms of art contribute to healing. I believe that research informs and directs clinical work. Consequently, my clinical interests also overlap with my research interests in that I hope to one day work with and treat marginalized communities of color, break down the stigma surrounding mental health within them, and introduce art therapy in conjunction with other interventions to treat and heal people.

My personal interests are in the performing arts, specifically music and theater. I also enjoy all kinds of games, ranging from video games to board games to tabletop roleplaying games like Dungeons and Dragons.
